About MentalCraft
Our Mission
Mental health screening should be private, clear, and economically sustainable. MentalCraft exists to lower confusion between people and evidence-based mental health information. We believe that understanding your mental health is the first step toward getting help.
Our Methodology
The active clinical catalog is deliberately narrow. MentalCraft currently administers only two screeners whose wording, scoring, translations, and display rights have been checked against an official source:
- PHQ-9 (Depression Screening) — Nine scored items based on Kroenke K, Spitzer RL, Williams JB. The PHQ-9: validity of a brief depression severity measure. J Gen Intern Med. 2001;16(9):606-613. Official forms in English, Spanish (US), Portuguese (Brazil), and Simplified Chinese.
- GAD-7 (Anxiety Screening) — Seven scored items based on Spitzer RL, Kroenke K, Williams JBW, Löwe B. A brief measure for assessing generalized anxiety disorder: the GAD-7. Arch Intern Med. 2006;166(10):1092-1097. Official language forms.
Previously listed PSS-10, PCL-5, ASRS-v1.1, ISI, MDQ, AUDIT, K10, and EPDS flows are paused while version, response-anchor, scoring, translation, intended-use, and rights evidence is reviewed. Their routes do not show questions or calculate results. MentalCraft's AI self-checks are separately labeled as experimental and are not presented as validated clinical instruments.
Annual Index
MentalCraft is building toward an annual World AI & Mental Health Index. The index is meant to track AI literacy, AI agent readiness, reflection load, and trust in AI health advice with lawful aggregate data and local context, not individual profiling.
Ordinary screening is not enrollment in a study. Optional analytics and saved result history are governed by the privacy policy, consent where required, and deletion or access paths.
Important Limitations
Self-report screening tools are not diagnostic instruments. They are designed to identify individuals who may benefit from further clinical evaluation. Only a qualified healthcare provider can make a diagnosis.
Screening results can be affected by many factors including your current mood, recent events, medication, physical health conditions, and how you interpret questions. A single screening result should never be used as the sole basis for treatment decisions.
